We decided...

For our birthday party, the theme will be...
TINKERBELL!

We know of at least one friend who will be thrilled. :)
We thought about pink and purple, but we did that before. Then we thought about princesses, since we like to pretend to be Princess Erin and Princess Megan. Then we remembered that we like to watch Peter Pan, and we told Mommy that we wanted a Tinkerbell party.
We'll have plates, invitations, a pinata, and all kinds of fun stuff if we can stay out of trouble.

A note to our friends, Dawn and Javon (not buh-john...)

Hope you have a good time in Miami and can take a few moments to celebrate your commitment to each other. May God richly bless you today (well, 7/21, if you don't see it on Sat.) and for countless years to come!

Wii are a happy family

Mommy and Daddy were playing this earlier:

Then we got a chance to play these:

You really should see our Mii characters; they look a good bit like we do. Everybody says daddy's Mii is the closest to real because of his baldness.
We really like our Wii. Thanks to Javon and Dawn for allowing us the time to get motivated to buy one. It was fun on vacation, and we like it lots!

Home is where the...

toy baby stroller is! We arrived home this afternoon, about 2:30, and the first thing we did when we got inside was head for the toy strollers. It sure was fun going on vacation, but we're happy to be home, playing with our toys again.

Looks like some of this might be our supper, if Aunt Amelia is up for it.

Made it to our waypoint...

We left Williamsburg this morning not knowing exactly where we would spend the night, whether it be South Carolina, Georgia, or our house. We stopped at the South Carolina Welcome Center around 4:00 and decided to continue a bit further. We're just under 100 miles from Georgia, which means we have less than five hours to go.

Here's a professional view of the big pool back at the resort.

We've had a good trip, and after a short rest and hopefully a viewing of the Braves/Pirates game on cable, we'll hit the road again for home. Hope we get to see our family and friends when we get back.

As the clock winds down

Tomorrow, we go out for breakfast and head for home. We spent some time on the playground this morning, while Mommy and Daddy went in for the sales pitch. They didn't sign up for the timeshare, although Daddy says he was amused at the presentation. Mommy just hopes the free stuff turns out to be all that they say it is.

From Williamsburg, Virginia!

We made it to our vacation destination without any problems. Mama and Papa did have a little trouble finding our rendez-vous point, the local Wal-Mart. Believe it or not, it can't be seen easily from the interstate when you are headed east.

Before getting to Williamsburg, we stopped at Chris and Sara's house for some fun time and a little rest.

We got to our Sunterra destination, went through the hassles you'd expect just to get a room key, and started to settle in. Daddy and papa made a run to a couple of stores, and while deciding to give in to the pressure and take the tour/sales pitch, a little confusion between mommy, daddy, and a couple of conceirges led to some hurt feelings for one of the sales reps and a bit of uncalled for irritation for us. The place is nice, and if mommy and daddy were independently wealthy, they might just give in to the people tomorrow and get a timeshare.

Here's a glimpse of what we were up to today at Jamestown. Daddy said something about 400 years and a visit from the queen. Don't know who she is, but we do know that 400 is a lot more than the 2 1/2 that we've been here.

We're having a bunch of fun here, and we think we're going to the pool tomorrow. We thought we would after eating seafood tonight, but it was raining and too close to our bedtime when we got back to 'the hotel.' Maybe we can swim and check out the playground tomorrow after mommy and daddy's 90-minute sales pitch tomorrow morning. Oh, keep Grandma in your prayers. She came through surgery well, but she's in lots of pain, and Aunt Jennifer says she was afraid DingDing was going to eat her steak from supper. She should go home on Friday, before we get back sometime Saturday. If we take some pictures tomorrow of Friday, we'll try to share them with you. Back to the FUN!!!

Here we go!

We begged and begged Mommy and Daddy all afternoon yesterday to let us go ahead and start vacation. They told us over and over that we had to go night-night before we could go. Well, Dawn and Javon have our birdie, the car is packed, and after a rude awakening this morning, we're ready to go! Hopefully we'll be able to check in from the road and let y'all know how things are going.

Keep grandma in your prayers; it looks like she's having her back surgery on Tuesday.

First destination: a stopover in Goldsboro, NC, to see Chris and Sara. We had such a good time last time we saw them that we can't wait to do so again. Bye, bye!

God Bless America

Happy Independence Day to everyone this 4th of July. We hope you remember, whatever you do today, that this is the greatest country on earth, and we should be thankful for what we have and the freedoms we enjoy.

Maybe tomorrow

We've all had lots of fun playing at Dawn and Javon's house in recent weeks. Mommy actually looked tonight at Wal-Mart, but there were no systems to be had. Daddy says that we could probably use one on vacation. Wouldn't it be fun to watch PaPa play?
