We got to go Trick-or-Treating!!!

We didn't go all-out this year, but we did get some candy at a few houses. We were Tinkerbell this year. I bet you thought Tinkerbell only wears green...but she also wears pink and purple...

Did you ever see a pumpkin...

We learned another song in preschool. This one is just in time for Halloween:

Did you ever see a pumpkin a pumpkin a pumpkin?
Did you ever see pumpkin with no face at all?
With no eyes, no nose, no mouth, and no teeth?
Did you ever see a pumpkin, with no face at all?

So I... made a Jack O-Lantern, Jack O-Lantern, Jack O-Lantern.
So I made a Jack-O-Lantern with a big funny face!
With two eyes, and one nose, and one mouth, and lots of teeth.
So I made a Jack-O-Lantern with a big funny face.

Then today, we watched Daddy and Mommy make our pumpkin into a Jack O-Lantern!
We had fun watching and singing our song.

The planes show

Daddy took us to Moody Air Force Base this morning for Moody Airfest 2007. We didn't stay to see the real air show. We did see some planes and helicopters, but the best part was the bouncy house. We did see some planes in the sky, plus some people dropping with parachutes. We had to come home and rest so that we could go to Elizabeth Grace's birthday party. Sometimes we have fun being with just Daddy.

This was a big one! No wonder they call it the C-5 Galaxy.
Here's an F-15 from Eglin AFB, Florida.

This is an F-16 from Shaw AFB, SC.

These are F-16s, too. The Thunderbirds even park their jets in precision.See, their diagonals would make even a drum corps judge happy.

Just in case you still aren't sure they park them well, here's the front view with orange barrels included. Looks like the local guys need to get their act together on spacing those. Maybe a highway construction company should help. All of this was impressive to Daddy, but the closest we came to the Thunderbirds in the air was hearing them during nap time.

Here's evidence that we saw planes fly. Also, if you look at the bottom right, you'll see a nice man with a gun guarding the flight line. They sure were serious about security. Daddy had to show his driver's license to get in the gate. Then, Mommy's car was randomly selected to be searched. The military dog and some strong sheriff's deputies rummaged through it and looked under the hood to make sure it was safe. Then we had to walk through a metal detector to access the flight line. Daddy did less than that just to see the President...but that was a long time ago.

As we said...the best part of the show was...

Preschool Update

We've been learning about colors since school started back in September. We're almost done. We want Daddy to come to our colors party to help us celebrate. Here are the words to our new song:

Orange is a Carrot
Yellow is a Pear
Green is the Green Grass
Brown is a Bear
Purple is a Plum
Blue is the Sky
Black is a Witch's Hat
And Red is Cherry Pie

We like to sing this song and get Daddy excited, because he likes cherry pie. Boz does, too.

On Friday we get to go to the Pumpkin Patch in front of the church. We're pretty excited about that, too. We get to pick out our own baby pumpkin!

Hugs and Kisses,
Erin and Megan
