We went to VSU's Cheer/Dance Exhibition!

Ladies and Gentlemen:
Your 3rd-Place All-Girls Cheerleaders; Your National Champion Co-Ed Cheerleaders; Your Repeat National Champion Red Hots Dance Team from VSU!

It didn't take long for them to do their routines, but we were glad we were there! Mommy told us Blaze wouldn't be there, but he was. We kept a close eye on him. Even though Mommy and Daddy gave blaze high fives, we still don't like him. Megan still says he has a pumpkin head...

While Erin liked the all-girls, co-ed, and Red Hots all the same, Megan liked the all-girls best. Erin maintains that she wants to be a dance star when she grows up, so who knows...and if Megan keeps with Gymnastics...
(This reminds Daddy of his fears back when he found out he was having two girls at the ultrasound...)

Megan's Gymnastics Carnival

Here are a few videos from Megan's gymnastics carnival. There are a few more, but these are our favorites.

This is Megan doing the springboard!
Here is Megan's newly found skill. Skin-the-Cat!

And one more flip over the bar! These flips are a big deal. She used to be scared of flipping over the bar.

This is probably Megan's favorite thing at gymnastics. She loves the trampoline!
Look who came to watch Megan!

A little hopscotch
Showing Lena how to do a log roll.
Look, she got a medal!!

We Went to a Carnival!

After eating supper tonight, Mommy and Daddy had a little surprise for us. They took us to the mall and outside of the mall there were carnival rides set up! We got to ride a few rides and had lots of fun doing it!

Tomorrow it is off to a friend's birthday party and then Megan's gymnastic's carnival! Thanks for the roses, Aunt Elizabeth!

Swimming Lessons

Here we are at our swimming lessons. The first day was the toughest day for all of us. We all cried during most of the first lesson. Coach Tucker was teaching us how to float on our backs and swim while floating on our backs. That was very scary at first. He told us if we just stayed still and kept our head backs that the water would hold us up, but being 4 and all, we really didn't want to believe him! We must say, we are much more comfortable in the water than we were when we started. We don't even really mind going under the water now. There is still a lot to learn about this swimming thing, but we've got a good start!

After our turn on our backs we got to use these floatie things and kick around the pool.

Here we are on the last day of lessons! We got much better by then!

Here's Megan and Emma!

And here's Erin and Anna. Emma and Anna are our twin friends from church and school. They are in our preschool class.

Here we all are! What a crew!

We thought you might want to see how well we can swim on our backs now. Mommy took these videos on our last day of swimming lessons!

Mommy is a professional photographer!

OK, so one of the plans for our trip was to have pictures made with our cousins, so that MaMa and PaPa would have up-to-date ones with all four of their grandchildren. All girls, of course.
Well, by the time we called Sears, they didn't have any workable time slots available. We called Wal-Mart and set one up for Thursday at 5:00. We got to the store at about ten 'til, and Aunt Carly had been informed that the 4:15 and 4:30 had not started their sessions yet. A little behind schedule, they said. Just thinking about it, we didn't think we'd be done and home in time to make it work.
So...one white sheet and a trip back to MaMa's house later, we're setting up a studio and taking our own pictures. Don't you think she did a great job?

After uploading them for 1-hour service, waiting, and making a second trip to the same Wal-Mart, Mommy gets asked for a copyright release! Guess all it takes is a good resolution, matching outfits, and a white sheet to be a professional.

Valdosta-area flooding

Here's a video from WALB. We don't have cable (nobody in Valdosta or several other towns, either) because Mediacom's main network facility (headend) has been flooded. Could be out until Thursday. Keep your phone and Internet with the pros...

Chocolate World

Today we had another exciting day. Mama & Papa took us to Chocolate World!

We started out by going on the Hershey Factory Tour Ride. We really liked it and had to go on it again before we left for the day. Here is a picture of the chocolate being refined.

The singing cows were our favorite part!

Anybody know what these are???

After we went on the ride, we went to a new part of Chocolate World called Factory Works. We got our own official ID tags. Don't you think we look like good product testers?!?!

Here we are with our hats on. Papa said that when he first started working at Hershey, he had to wear hats like ours!

Here we got to use the machine to fill our box with Hershey Kisses!

And finally, we got our picture on our very own Hershey's Chocolate Bar!

The Crayola Factory!

Today was really fun. We went to The Crayola Factory in Easton, PA. Here we are with the world's largest crayon!

Coloring on walls with window markers!
Here we are making caterpillars.

The finished products...

Here is the guy that showed us how crayons were made. The machine he is at is the one that puts the labels on the crayons.

This is the machine that makes a 4-pack of crayons.

And here he is making markers. He made purple markers today!

This is where we made our butterflies with paint and scissors.

Here we are making puppets with small paper bags.

Sidewalk chalk.

This is where we made frisbees with spin art. We got a coupon to make a free one since we were one of the first 100 kids to come that day!
This is the finished product!
On the third floor there was a boat and train museum that Papa wanted to see before we left. It was fun. We learned how to work a canal and saw some model trains.
We really had a great time today. Tomorrow it looks like we are going to get to go to Chocolate World and we are getting our pictures made with our cousins, Emily & Averie. Then it will be time to pack and be ready to head home on Friday.
