Well, we made it here around 5:15 on Saturday afternoon. Todd, Carly, and Averie brought some pizza for supper.
We went to church on Sunday, had Five Guys Burgers & Fries for lunch, went to the Disney Outlet Store, and then made corn dogs and homemade ice cream for supper, when the Yoders came down for a couple of hours.
Monday was some shopping and then time with Cousin Emily.
Today, mommy's friend, Adrienne, from college, is coming up to visit. She hasn't seen us before, and it has been seven or eight years since she saw mommy and daddy.
Tomorrow should be another really fun day, as we head to the Crayola factory! We'll probably do an update tomorrow or Thursday.
Love Ya'll!

Homeless 4 A Night
Daddy managed to stay off-camera this time, but this picture is in today's newspaper. Daddy hadn't been camping in over ten years when he committed to sleeping in a box to benefit Lowndes Associated Ministries to People, an organization formed by Valdosta-area churches to fill the void between people and other social services. LAMP provides many services, several of which directly impact homeless people. Johnny, shown here, had a life like most of us a long time ago, but he decided to leave behind "the rat race" and live on his own. He's camped in some woods here in town for around two years and will be heading back west soon to see his grandson for the first time.
The experience reminded Daddy that we have plenty to be thankful for, as well as the fact that there are legitimate homeless people that we can help without throwing our money at folks sitting curbside who often aren't as helpless as they claim.
