Congratulations, Uncle Jonathan!

(see center, dark suit, big smile)
Daddy wishes he could have been there to welcome you as a member of the 2008 class of Leadership Lowndes. You'll already know much of what others will learn, but you'll also learn what many don't. All of the early mornings and long days will be worth it in the end. :)

Over the river and through the woods...

...to Mama's house we go. We really did go over a river and through the woods to get to her house. We've been having loads of fun with Mama, Papa, Uncle Todd, Aunt Carly and Emily. Megan got a little scared early Sunday morning around 4:30 when the power went out from an ice storm. We had to entertain ourselves until about 1:30 when the power came back. Mama and Papa even put the stuff from the fridge outside so it would stay cold.

This is when we first got to Mama and Papa's house. We had to check out the new slide that Papa built.

Erin really likes the house that's outside.

Here's a picture of the ice after the storm was over.

And here's Papa on his tractor. He had to clear the ice so we could go to Uncle Todd and Aunt Carly's house to eat and open presents.

And now, the outdoor fridgefrator as Erin calls it. We also had milk and some other things outside, but they were on the other side.
This is Papa's lantern that lit up the kitchen since we had no power.

This is at Todd and Carly's house. We opened all of our presents over there. We get microphones to sing with on the TV, laptops, clothes, a Dora movie, all kinds of stuff. Megan was really excited to get a Cinderella doll and Erin liked her Ariel doll.

And you may notice from this picture that Erin got a hair cut. There are a lot less tangles now.

The Christmas Parade

Believe it or not, we went to our first parade ever on Saturday. We mentioned this in the last post, but we didn't tell much of a story.

We got lots of candy, saw lots of fire trucks, saw two bands, got a little scared, and saw Santa.
Mommy and Daddy keep trying to get us excited about the band. We like it, but Erin may be more of a cheerleader or dance line type.

I like the Blazers, as long as Blaze isn't in the conversation. He looks like a pumpkin with sunglasses, and I don't care how many people say he's nice. They can like him all they want--just keep him away from me!

This one's for you, PaPa!

And finally, though not directly related to the parade...

Don't I remind you of a sick puppy? Well, I'm feeling better, but I still have a runny nose most of the time, and my coughing is less frequent and less violent--yet it still persists.

Blazers win again

The Blazers beat North Alabama yesterday, while we were at home sleeping. Daddy told us all about it when he got to the Christmas Parade. Mommy took some pictures at the parade. Maybe one or two will make it online with some encouragement. Mommy says Daddy can't go to the game, since it is in southwest Pennsylvania on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. They have a Christmas party to go to on Friday night, and Daddy has to run sound at the Chancel Choir concert Sunday night. The next quest is to find a place with ESPNU on the TV so that we can watch the game.

Go BLAZERS!!!
